Weekly email to the congregation is here.

This is the first sermon in our series based on James K.A. Smith's book, You Are What You Love: The Spiritual Power of Habit.  Smith writes about our tendency to think of ourselves as "thinking things," but the reality is that our purpose and our identity goes much deeper.  We are not simply made for thinking-- we are made for loving.  He cites Psalm 42 as an example of the depth of our souls' longings, and this sermon explores that famous psalm and the connection between soul and heart, with additional reference to John Ortberg's book, Soul Keeping: Caring for the Most Important Part of You.
